CCL20, also named LARC (Liver and Activation-regulated Chemokine), is encoded by CCL20 located on chromosome 1 in mouse. The expression can be induced by LPS and some inflammatory cytokines, and it is at a high level in lymph nodes, PBL, fatal liver, fatal lung, appendix and so on. CCL20 has functions of chemotactic towards lymphocytes and dendritic cells. Additionally, it promotes the adhesion of memory CD4+ T cells and inhibits colony formation of bone marrow myeloid immature progenitors. CCL20 elicits it effects by binding with CCR6 receptor.

CCL19, also known as EBI1 Ligands chemokine (ELC) and macrophage inflammatory protein-3-beta, is encoded by the CCL19 gene which is located on chromosome 4 in mouse. The protein is expressed at high levels in thymus and lymph nodes, with intermediate levels in trachea and colon and low levels in stomach, lung and some other organs. CCL19 is signal through CCR7 and chemotaxis of T and B lymphocytes and myeloid progenitor cells.

Murine CCL11 is belonging to the CC chemokine family. CCL11 was first purified from bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of guinea pigs. It was a strong and specific eosinophil chemoattractant in vitro. It can directly chemotactic for eosinophils, but not for monocytes or neutrophils. Murine CCL11 is approximately 63 % identical at the amino acid level to human CCL11. In addition, CCL11 also shows about 60 % amino acid sequence identity to human MCPs. CCR3 has been identified to be a specific CCL11 receptor.

Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is a single polypeptide of 84 amino acids. PTH is a critical hormone in the regulation of Ca2+ homeostasis. PTH is secreted by the parathyroid glands, which promote release of calcium from bone to extracellular fluid by activating osteoblasts and inhibiting osteoclasts, indirectly promote increased intestinal absorption of calcium, and promote renal tubular reabsorption of calcium and increased renal excretion of phosphates. It is a major regulator of bone metabolism. Secretion of parathyroid hormone increases when the level of calcium in the extracellular fluid is low.
PTH (7-34), which is a PTH/PTHrP receptor antagonist, can stimulate hair growth and epidermal proliferation in mice.
